Peatlands Hold Stories.

And the Future

Peatlands are ancient, living archives, storing more carbon than all the world’s forests combined, filtering freshwater, and sheltering rare species while carrying timeless tales of memory, connection, and resilience.

And yet, peatlands are disappearing—drained, extracted, and destroyed. Not valued for what they are, only for what they could be when not there.

At RE-PEAT, we use art, activism and deep inquiry to shift the narrative around peatlands to emphasize their value and worth, challenging perceptions that underlie everyday behaviors and policies.
